aol and talk talk and broadband tactics

hi, i was one week late with a payment to aol for broadband and talk talk,yes you should pay bills on time, but i was utter disjusted by aol talk talk,when within one week of a payment being late,due to a banking error,they blocked my BT phone line so i could not phone out but got a direct to aol, each time i tried to phone out,it was a simple banking error that my payment was late,with previous payment always on time,i was disjusted,they did not even give me a week, upon unknowingly they blocked my phone line,it was only when i needed to phone out for a doctor that i realised what they had done,i had no idea they did not even let me know of this practice,so i could preper myself if i needed to make any emergency phone calls,to my doctor,they had literally taken over my bt phone line until my payment had cleared,i pay bt for my phone line aol is only my calls,i also had a overide code so i could make calls with bt if i wanted,this was also blocked by aol,so my phone was literally taken over,even when i paid the bill it took 5hrs before i could make a phone call,i would certainly not recommend this service for any elderly or disabled persons,or any young pregnant lady,or anyone who may be dependent on phone services,every month without fail my bill was on time but just once with a late payment and within the week this happended,i am glad i found out now about aol tactics,so i can go somewhere else for my phone service,it is after all a bt phone line but i don,t think even bt resort to such tactics.
